We absolute love this recipe for a lighter fare. Although not quite the grilling season yet, we use our skillet with cooking spray during cold days that we rather not be grilling, to create these patties and have them ready for amazing turkey burgers. For those who avoid the carbs...not buns are necessary, as you can enjoy them with a side of salad for the perfect balance.
This recipe serves 4
Ingredients:
• 1 pound of ground turkey
• 5 oz of chopped spinach
• 3 oz of Feta cheese
• 1 beaten egg
• 1 sliced tomato
• 1 minced garlic clove
• 2 tablespoons of olive oil
• Fresh parsley
• Hamburger buns (optional)
Instructions:
1. Mix feta, spinach, egg, garlic, freshly chopped parsley and olive oil into ground turkey
2. Form the ground turkey into patties
3. Grill the burgers on medium high until the burgers aren’t pink (about 12-15 minutes)
4. Garnish burgers with tomato slices and any other garnishes you would like
